Where is FLAC? FLAC is located in Assembly Room L-1000
of the Dane County Courthouse, 215 South Hamilton Street, When is FLAC open? FLAC is open every Wednesday, from 11:30 to 1:30. |
What can FLAC do? Two or three attorneys/paralegals/law students can help you complete family law forms, including forms for divorce, paternity, restraining orders and post judgment motions. Spanish-speaking volunteers are available the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month. People are helped on a first come, first serve basis. The Family Law Assistance Center was created by the Dane County Bar's Delivery of Legal Services Committee to help meet the needs of unrepresented family law litigants.Over 2,400 people have used its services since it opened in 2002 and approximately 700 people were served last year (2004). Over 100 Dane County lawyers and paralegals have volunteered their time to make this project a success.
