Business Case Law Update
At 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 27, Attorney Kevin J. Palmersheim will present his popular biennial business case law update, titled “When Deciding Business Law Cases, Wisconsin Supreme Court Justices Are On The Same Page – Just Kidding, They’re Still Hiding Each Other’s Bookmarks”. Attorney Palmersheim will act as the law librarian and summarize business law cases decided by the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court in 2022 and 2023, including his editorial take on those decisions. In addition to his not-so-silent insights on cases and the courts, the presentation will also reveal the shocking fact that -- contrary to our absolute confidence – we attorneys are not always right.
Kevin is the managing partner at Palmersheim Dettmann, S.C., where his practice focuses on business litigation and transactional business work. He is a seasoned trial attorney and routinely litigates business disputes in state and federal court. Kevin also represents clients on a broad range of business transactions, including contract negotiations and buying and selling businesses. The “book” on Atty Palmersheim is he is acknowledged by his peers as one of the top business lawyers in Dane County. More notably, he has been active in the Dane County Bar Association long enough to remember when books were found in card catalogues and not Kindles.
