The status of landlord-tenant law in Wisconsin.
Two experienced landlord-tenant attorneys, David R. Friedman (landlord) and David Sparer (tenant), will be discussing the status of landlord-tenant law in Wisconsin. From Dec. 2011 thru Dec. 2013 as many as 75 state laws have been changed and many of these changes had eliminated local ordinances. These changes include restrictions on a local municipality’s right to adopt landlord tenant ordinances, new procedures for towing vehicles, expansion of a tenant’s liability for damages, changes in Ch. 799 relating to evictions, and creation of a statute granting immunity for landlords who provide references.
