Wisconsin Supreme Court Civil Case Law Update

At noon on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at the Madison Club, Judge Charles P. Dykman will present a summary of the Wisconsin Supreme Court and Court of Appeals civil case decisions, issued in calendar year 2018. Judge Dykman's presentation and outline provide a comprehensive review of 2018 decisions involving all areas of civil law. His presentations have always been extremely well received and we appreciate that he has agreed to present again this year.

Judge Dykman is a Reserve Judge for the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, District IV, having first been elected to the court in 1978 and serving as presiding judge from 1996 to 2001, and again in 2009-2010. Judge Dykman has served on numerous judicial educational panels and at Wisconsin Judicial Conferences and has been a speaker for continuing legal education programs. Judge Dykman moved to the status of reserve judge in 2010. In early 2011 he was honored as a Leader in the Law by the Wisconsin Law Journal and was given Lifetime Achievement recognition. Judge Dykman has continued his work in the legal profession by representing an attorney in an OLR proceeding, filing an amicus petition with the Supreme Court, and teaching a class in negligence methodology at the University of Wisconsin Law School since 2010.
