Use of Technology in the Workplace

At noon on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at the Madison Club, Attorney Jennifer Mirus will address the fact that technology has become further intertwined in our work lives, and that it is vulnerable to misuse and has played an increasing role in employee misconduct.  Her presentation will focus on real life issues encountered in the use of technology in the workplace, will discuss technology trends that pose a variety of risks, address some of the key legal issues involved in these matters and highlight steps to take to address these issues.

Attorney Mirus is co-chairperson of the Labor and Employment Law Group at Boardman and Clark, where she has worked since 1995. Jennifer has extensive experience representing employers in all aspects of employment relations, including wage and hour issues, discrimination, Family and Medical Leave, ADA, reductions in force, harassment, hiring, discipline and terminations. Jennifer represents employers in litigation of employment-related claims and conducts workplace investigations. She also has extensive experience drafting employee handbooks, employment contracts, and non- competition agreements. Atty. Mirus has been a sought out speaker for human resources issues and regularly conducts human resources and management trainings for her clients.
