Business Law Update:
Vampires*, Exculpatory Contracts, Zombies*, Economic Loss, Ghouls*, The Statute of Frauds, and Other Issues That have Risen from the Dead in Recent Business Law Cases
Presented by Kevin Palmersheim
At noon on January 14, 2014, at the Madison Club, Attorney Kevin Palmersheim will present his biennial business law update titled Vampires*, Exculpatory Contracts, Zombies*, Economic Loss, Ghouls*, The Statute of Frauds, and Other Issues That have Risen from the Dead in Recent Business Law Cases. The presentation will summarize Wisconsin cases from 2012-13 that have addressed key business issues, with Kevin’s “unique” editorial take on those decisions. (*Kevin makes NO representation or warranty that case law involving vampires, zombies and ghouls will be covered at the program due to …ahem, “time constraints,” although he does promise a fascinating case regarding bat guano.)
Kevin Palmersheim is a shareholder in the law firm Haley Palmersheim, S.C., whose practice is concentrated in the areas of business law and litigation. He regularly advises businesses on contract and transaction matters and acts as outside general counsel for family businesses and other companies. In addition to trying cases, Kevin has successfully argued business cases before the United States Seventh Circuit and the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Unfortunately, none of them has involved vampires, zombies or ghouls, but he remains hopeful.
